{"id":43,"date":"2010-01-18T20:31:32","date_gmt":"2010-01-18T20:31:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/theraleighcommons.org\/raleighdla\/\/?p=43"},"modified":"2018-04-27T15:15:33","modified_gmt":"2018-04-27T19:15:33","slug":"downtown-raleigh-friendly-for-kids-and-your-wallet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theraleighcommons.org\/raleighdla\/artmusicentertainment\/downtown-raleigh-friendly-for-kids-and-your-wallet","title":{"rendered":"Downtown Raleigh: Friendly for Kids AND Your Wallet!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>Having moved Downtown in August of 2008, my husband and I are still discovering new things to love. &nbsp; Most recently, though we have no children (being Double Income No Kids &#8211; D.I.N.Ks) we had the opportunity to find many amazing things to do with our 3 and 4 year old niece and nephew within Downtown Raleigh. &nbsp;During their first visit, it was cold and rainy, so we took them to see Under the Sea at the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imaxraleigh.org\/\">IMAX Theater<\/a><span> before heading next door to the&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.marbleskidsmuseum.org\/\">Marbles&nbsp;Museum<\/a><span>. &nbsp;(They currently offer Story Time every other Wednesday at 10:30.)&nbsp; We found this indoor museum for children to be everything a child could hope for &#8211; on a rainy day, or any day!&nbsp; To top off the visit, we took advantage of:&nbsp;Kids Eat Free at <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/tobaccoroadsportscafe.com\/about\/index.html\">Tobacco Road<\/a><span> offered on Tuesday nights.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>During their next visit, we took a ride on the <\/span><a title=\"http:\/\/theraleighcommons.org\/raleighdla\/\/home\/2010\/1\/5\/the-bus-stops-here-r-line-answers-downtown-raleighs-transpor.html\" href=\"http:\/\/theraleighcommons.org\/raleighdla\/\/home\/2010\/1\/5\/the-bus-stops-here-r-line-answers-downtown-raleighs-transpor.html\" target=\"_blank\">R Line<\/a><span>.
