They will also get to choose from among many candidates vying for seats at the General Assembly and the US House of Representatives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>U.S. House District 2<\/strong><br \/>\nThere are eight candidates vying for the House seat now held by Republican Renee Ellmers.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats: Antoinette (Toni) Morris, Stephen Wilkins and James Bibbs<br \/>\nRepublicans: Renee Ellmers, Sonya Holmes, Clement Munno, Richard Speer<br \/>\nLibertarian: Brian Irving<\/p>\n<p><strong>U.S. House District 4<\/strong><br \/>\nThere are three Republicans looking to run against Democrat David Price this fall: George Hutchins, James Allen and Timothy D&#8217;Annunzio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>U.S. House District 13<\/strong><br \/>\nThree people will compete for the Republican nomination: Paul Coble, chair of the Wake County Commission, former federal attorney George Holding and William Randall. Two Democrats will face off: Bernard Holliday and Charles Malone<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_10459\"  class=\"wp-caption module image alignright\" style=\"max-width: 222px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-10459\" title=\"us house districts\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raleighpublicrecord.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/us-house-districts.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"222\" height=\"97\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">U.S. House Districts<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>NC Senate District 18<\/strong><br \/>\nOnly one seat on the North Carolina State Senate will require a primary vote in Wake County. Three Republicans\u2014Michael Schriver, John (Chad) Barefoot and Glen Bradley\u2014will campaign to run against Democrat Doug Berger in November.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NC House District 33<\/strong><br \/>\nThe State House District 33 seat will be decided in the primary. Rosa Gill and Bernard Allen, both Democrats, will compete for the seat where Gill is in the middle of her second term.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_10460\"  class=\"wp-caption module image alignright\" style=\"max-width: 300px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-10460\" title=\"wake house districts\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raleighpublicrecord.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/wake-house-districts-300x295.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"295\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Wake House Districts<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>NC House District 35<\/strong><br \/>\nRepublicans Christopher Malone and Duane Cutlip will go to the primary to see who will face Lori Millberg in the fall. Democrat Jennifer Weiss, who has represented the district for more than 12 years, was moved out of the district during redistricting last year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NC House District 38<\/strong><br \/>\nThere are three Democrats and no Republicans running for the seat currently held by Deborah Ross. Abeni El-Amin, Yvonne Holley and Ricky (Lee) Sartain will go to the primary in May for their party\u2019s nomination. Ross, a Democrat, was moved from District 38 during the redistricting process last year. She is running unopposed for District 34.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NC House District 39<\/strong><br \/>\nMichael Slawter and Lee Sartain will challenge fellow Democrat and incumbent Darren Jackson to represent this western Wake County district. No Republicans have filed for the seat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NC House District 49<\/strong><br \/>\nRepublicans James Fulghum and Russell Capps are running for the nomination to go up against Keith Karlsson for the open House seat this fall.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Filing for the 2012 Election ended Wednesday.
