The competition was open to agencies across the state and received participants from as close as Cary and from as far as Winston-Salem.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are training, but I&#8217;ve thrown in the added twist of this\u00a0competition,&#8221; said Sargent J.J. King, who organized the event.<\/p>\n<p>On the first day, officers competed in four multi-skill courses in either intermediate or advanced &#8211; depending on how long they&#8217;ve been on their bikes. On the second day, officers paid to compete in each course. Proceeds were given to the Special Olympics of North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>King said they plan to host the event again next year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><em>Click on an image to view full size.
