{"id":13654,"date":"2012-09-13T11:01:30","date_gmt":"2012-09-13T15:01:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.raleighpublicrecord.org\/?p=13654"},"modified":"2012-09-13T11:01:30","modified_gmt":"2012-09-13T15:01:30","slug":"councilors-want-clarity-on-building-height-rules","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theraleighcommons.org\/raleighpublicrecord\/news\/city-council\/2012\/09\/13\/councilors-want-clarity-on-building-height-rules\/","title":{"rendered":"Councilors Want Clarity on Building Height Rules"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A City Council committee wants to clarify new rules on building heights around downtown.<\/p>\n<p>The guidelines are part of Raleigh\u2019s Comprehensive Plan, and will become law with the new rewrite of the city zoning code (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.raleighpublicrecord.org\/topics\/udo-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">Unified Development Ordinance<\/a>) coming as early as the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Committee members said they hoped to make clearer the guidelines regarding where tall buildings fit into the cityscape.
