This first autumn weekend of early voting in Raleigh was hectic. Many had to wait in lines at most polling places.<\/p>\n<p>All seemed to go well, but their was some minor confusion as folks showed up on Saturday at the Wake County Akins Office Building in downtown Raleigh to vote and the building was closed. It will be open next Saturday. The confusion seemed to arise out of which website you visited to find our early voting times and locations. The official site for early voting on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wakegov.com\/elections\/info\/early\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Wake County website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday there was a parade from the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in downtown Raleigh to the Chavis Park polling place.
