These pedestrian plazas were originally built in the 1960s through a private-public partnership between Wachovia, Raleigh Bank and Trust, and the City of Raleigh. Updates for these plazas coincide with the renovation to the former Wachovia Building, 227 Fayetteville Street.<\/p>\n<p>Funding for this project comes from bond money associated with the original Fayetteville Street Renaissance.
