This year&#8217;s theme is What About the Future, where contestants will spin yarns about how their once-image of a future Raleigh has measured up with reality.<\/p>\n<p>Come out Apr. 9 to <a href=\"http:\/\/kingsbarcade.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Kings Barcade<\/a> to be a part of the action. Competitors get five minutes to wow the audience, and the audience gets to help decide which six go on to the final event in the spring.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Watch<\/strong><br \/>\nFor those who want nothing more than to cheer and boo and slosh their drinks:<br \/>\nDoors open at 6:30 p.m.<br \/>\nShow starts at 7 p.m.<br \/>\nCost: $10. No tickets needed in advance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Enter<\/strong><br \/>\nFor those of you who have been searching for a good excuse to stand on stage, shoot us an e-mail at editor@raleighpublicrecord.org with the subject line &#8220;Bard Brawl&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>We need your name, email, and why you want to compete in 100 words or less.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stories must be original, and must relate to Raleigh in some fashion.<\/li>\n<li>No notes!
