NO MEETING IN JULY<\/p>\n<p>Parks and Recreation<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Announcement of upcoming summer events and new programs.<\/li>\n<li>There is another skating event scheduled for the fall of 2014.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Police Report<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Suggested that people are more aware to secure their valuables within their vehicles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Growing number of vehicle break-ins.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>National Night Out \u2013 Tuesday August 5th<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>The interim chairperson encouraged the CAC to be involved in National Night<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Out<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Approval of minutes<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Minutes from the May meeting were approved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Presentations<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Presentation on zoning case Z-10-14<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Review of property location and rezoning category<\/li>\n<li>Wants to rezone to Commercial Mix-use 5 story height, and parking<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>limitations (CX5PL).<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Vote was taken<\/li>\n<li>8 in favor \u2013 0 against<\/li>\n<li>Special Election<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>The CAC discussed the options for filling the chairperson position<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>The CAC decided to have a special election to fill the positions of Chair and<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Secretary<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A Nominating Committee was put together<\/li>\n<li>Michele McIntosh was selected as chairperson of the Nominating<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Committee<\/p>\n<p>Meeting Adjourned at 8:30 pm<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MEETING NOTES FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE.
