The race consists of running from the NC State Univesity Bell Tower to the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts store on Person Street, eat a dozen donuts and then returning to the Bell Tower.<\/p>\n<p>What the runners left behind at the Krispy Kreme store probably tells the whole story.<\/p>\n<p>After eating their dozen donuts the empty boxes were tossed aside, some into a huge pile and others were tossed all over Person St. For those who did not eat their entire dozen, sad glazed donuts lay in the street.
