If you have a gold purse, perhaps you should keep it with you at ALL times; early Wednesday morning, someone broke into a car parked on Danridge Drive and stole someone’s fancy gold purse.

Around 1:30 this morning, someone assaulted a 31-year-old man with a knife on Haywood Street.

Just before 3 this morning, someone assaulted a 50-year-old woman on Upchurch Street.

A woman reported shots fired on Creedmore Road around 3 a.m.

Tuesday, April 21

Overnight, someone broke into a trailer at a construction site and stole a saw used to cut concrete.

Someone made off with four hubcaps from a car parked on Oakwood Avenue overnight.

Sometime Tuesday morning, someone broke into a home on Tuckland Drive and stole one XBox 360, seven XBox games, a flat-screen TV, a laptop and a jar of loose change.

Overnight, someone broke in a door to a home on Lydford Place and stole a laptop and a jar with about $300 in loose change.

Crime doesn’t pay. Police arrested two men, 17 and 18, for using a gun to rob a 65-year-old man on Martin Luther King Boulevard around 9:45 Tuesday morning. The pair stole $3.

Someone assaulted a 46-year-old woman at an apartment on Kent Road around 10 a.m.

At some point in the morning, someone stole 20 burned CDs, $20 in change and 42 DVDs from a home on Turnabout Court.

Around 11 a.m. someone stole a laptop and a briefcase out of a car on Woodburn Road.

Someone made off with a computer and a monitor from a home on Poole Road during the morning.

Just before noon, someone assaulted a 17-year-old woman at her home on Hill Street.

Police charged a 17-year-old Cary man for damaging a Buck Jones Road mailbox Tuesday afternoon.

Looking for a spot to build a house?  Someone broke into a car parked on South Saunders Street early Tuesday morning and stole a GPS and more than $1,000 worth of construction equipment.

Around noon, someone broke into a home on Dix Street and stole three laptops and a bracelet.

A man reported shots fired on Brighton Road shortly before 3 p.m.

Some time during the day, someone stole a DVD player and $600 from a home on Spring Pines Way.

Tuesday afternoon, someone stole two subwoofers and an amplifier from a car parked at Broughton High School.

Police charged a 57-year-old man with assaulting his 35-year-old son with a knife on Danridge Drive at 3:45 p.m.

Police arrested a 24-year-old Ashe Avenue man for selling drugs-“opium, cocaine or derivative”-at his apartment around 5 p.m.

Someone stole a statue from a Bailey Jewelry store on Daniels Street Thursday afternoon.

Police arrested a 17-year-old man for stealing a pair of earrings from the Belks store on Old Wake Forest Road around 6:30 p.m.

Someone assaulted a 25-year-old woman at her home on East Jones Street around 7:30 p.m.

Police arrested three men, 18, 19 and 21, for stealing $50 and a laptop from a home on Timberhurst Drive. The robbery happened in the evening and police arrested the three just before midnight. The 19 year old also got charged with pot possession.

Monday, April 20

Sometime during the day, someone stole a GPS from a car on Shallcross Way.

Police arrested a 33-year-old woman for shoplifting a pair of earrings from a store on Maitland Drive.

Someone forced open a door to a home on Camargo Lane and stole a flat-screen TV and a watch Monday morning.

Messing with these people is not advisable. At some point over the past couple days, someone made off with almost $600 from a Fit 24 Boxing Club on Capital Boulevard.

Someone tried to pry open a window to a home on Kingstree Court Monday night.

Police arrested a 39-year-old Youngsville man for drunk driving on the 8900 block of Capital Boulevard just before midnight.
