  • Summer camp registration has started
  • Community Center resources and programs available to the public
  • At the April CAC meeting, Parks, Recreation, and Cultural resources will present information on the greenway connections
  1. Housing and Neighborhood Preservation – Dudley Winslow
  • Role of the division
  • Information on “See, Click, Fix” initiative
  1. Police Department – Officer Porter
  • Continue to see an increase in vehicular break-ins
  • Hide/Lock/Take: 97% of vehicle break-ins happen to unlocked vehicles
  • Coffee with a Cop – Start 3/25/15

  2. Bojangles on New Bern Ave (New Bern & New Hope)
  3. An initiative by RPD to interact with the community.
  • Retail Theft class – class for business owners at Triangle Town Center to be better aware of retail theft in their stores

  • Club Astromundo – Raleigh Police Department asked the residents if there were any questions about the club
  1. Questions raised by residents
  2. Risk for increased crime in the area
  3. Since October, 2014, there have been 7 incidents at the club
  4. Officer Grey informed the residents that CAC’s are made aware of any businesses that apply for an alcohol and beverage license

  1. Biking and Pedestrian Advisory Commission Report – Jennifer Baldwin
  • 60 miles of on road bike facilities by the end of the year
  • Review of the 2015 Bike Raleigh Plan Update
  1. Focuses on down town and NC State area
  • 2013 Pedestrian Plan – Focus on busier street
  1. Expansion of sidewalk
  2. Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission (BPAC) – Vice Chair, Amy Simes
  • Review of roles, responsibilities, and make-up of the BPAC
  • Rezoning Case Z-4-15 (5618 Louisburg) – 0.61 acres, R-1 to CX3 being considered to be leased to an automotive dealership
  • Will be at the April meeting for a vote
