International Night Feat: DJ Rang, Salsa Mike, DJ Freedom, Climax & more – Mosaic Wine Bar (Electronica/Dance) — 8 p.m. | Free
International Night has a Caribbean/South American Flair to it this week as part of the Spring Music Festival. Expect driving beats, steel drums, percussion mashup as the DJs bring the best there is to offer to the Mosaic.

Voice of the Wetlands Feat: Tab Benoit, Anders Osborne, Cyril Neville, Monk Boudreaux, Johnny Vidacovich, Waylon Thibodeaux & more – Lincoln Theater (Cajun/Jazz/Folk) — 8 p.m. | $30
New Orleans Music Royalty comes to the Lincoln Theatre for a night of great music – for a great cause – the Louisiana Wetlands. Catch the famous songs of Cajun Country from a host of world-renowned musicians. In a night of true Louisiana music, you never know who will show up to sit in and the musicians are sure to impress. Expect a diverse night of music from Jazz to Cajun Folk to Rock to a jam session as the finale. Get ready for great music and wonderful dancing. Local Zydeco faves Mel Melton and the Wicked Mojos will open the evening.

Friday 5/13

The Knock out Roses – Berkeley Cafe (Indie) — 9 p.m. | $10
Local Indie Favorites from a couple of years ago are now making a comeback and their gig on Friday is one step in the process of returning to the scene.

Music on the Porch Feat: Atomic Rhythm All-Stars – Mordecai Park (Jazz) — 6:30 p.m. | $5 Donation
Music on the Porch is back and despite the change in venue, it claims to be better than ever. From now until October, you can expect solid music every Friday evening in a family friendly place. A few things have changed this year —the location and the lack of vendors at the park — but the good thing in that you now can bring your own beverages. First up – The Atomic Rhythm All-Stars will bring a night of Big-Band Jazz/Swing music that will have us all dancing by night’s end. Come out and support this wonderful continuing tradition.

The T’s, Static Minds, Maldora – Pourhouse (Rock) — 10 p.m. | $8
A good way to start the weekend right is by getting into the mood with some driving Rock from Local Rockers The T’s, Static Minds & Maldora. You can expect driving Guitars and Percussion fused with piercing vocals and the type of high-energy that is contagious and gets us fired up for the weekend! Come check it out!

Saturday, 5/14

KinGator, Funkuponya – Pourhouse (Funk) — 9 p.m. | $8
It’s time to get funky and there isn’t a better way to do it here in the Triangle than with resident Funk Experts Funkuponya & KinGator. Leo, Carl, Brian and Doug have been Funking it up for the better part of three years and have their old sound tight. Yet they strive for new material to keep us engaged and amused. Expect a healthy dose of their original material as well as new and some carefully picked covers with their own Funk twist. Kingator brings their funk/psychedelic stylings to the stage for some new-wave Funk Grooves that will most certainly get the crowd jamming and dancing.

Miami Fusion Feat: DJ Stellar & more – Mosaic Wine Bar (Electronica/Dance) — 8 p.m. | Free
Miami’s South Beach area clubs have been on the cutting edge of House/Lounge/Electronica since the inception of the genre and today is no different. While Club Space and The CroBar have undergone changes – countless other clubs as well as these two have seen a steady stream of DJs, innovations and changes to the musical styling as well as mashup and backbeat additions. With the Mosaic Spring Music Fest it is only natural that a night be dedicated to one of the Pillars of this musical styling. DJ Stellar – one of the Hottest up-and-coming DJs in the South Beach Scene —will highlight this night of tribute to the Innovations that have come from the Miami Club scene.

Sunday – 5/15

Mosaic Spring Music Fest Closing Party- Mosaic Wine Bar (Electronica/Dance) — 6 p.m. | Free
All good things must come to an end and such it is Sunday for the Mosaic Spring Music Fest. As part of the closing party, live music will kick off the evening around 6 and then there will be an endless revolving list of DJs waiting to play their best stuff in the last hurrah for the Spring Music Fest. Hungry? Come indulge in the BBQ and other savory fare that will be offered as part of the party.

Diggup Tapes! – Kings Barcade (Retro) — 9:30 p.m. | $5
This is the night that Kings will pull out its old-school retro stuff, and mash it up creating a sound that you are sure to enjoy – come check it out!
