The Great Cover Up Music Festival
There is a truly great mini music festival taking place this week at Kings Barcade.  During the course of three nights, various local bands will be performing cover songs in costume of the band(s) that they are covering.  This event is called “The Great Cover Up” and is certainly one of the best grassroots music festivals for our area.  Come on Thursday, Friday or Saturday night and check out some of your favorite local bands perform in Tribute of some of your favorite main stream bands.  This is a great time to come out and check out some great musicianship as well as support local charities.  A $5 bill is all it takes to get inside and have a great evening of music and fun.  Be prepared, you do not know who will be performing and what they will be covering!

 

Ska is alive and well in the Triangle! The Archbishops of Blount Street will be representing this Friday at Tir Na Nog. If you needed a musical party to get the weekend started, this is the perfect solution. More than 10 musicians deliver Brass-Heavy versions of covers and other great material.
