New mapping by the Record shows that not only do schools get poorer moving from West to East across the county, test scores go down also. We also provided maps of additional years and saw a similar trend.
Mapping conducted by the Record shows that nearly all schools to the East of downtown Raleigh are high-poverty schools. It further shows a clear trend of mid-range schools in the middle and wealthier schools to the west.
