An anonymous caller reported shots fired after midnight Sunday morning on Smithdale Drive.

Another anonymous tipster reported shots fired, this time on Wake Forest Road at about 4 a.m.

Don’t leave your purse in the car, especially if it’s got $5,000 in it. A thief made off with the cash, a birth certificate and a social security card from Poole Road just before 3 Sunday morning.

Hide that GPS unit: someone stole one from a car on Holden Street just after 5 a.m.

Someone stole about $1,800 in camera and video equipment from a Chatterleigh Circle Home between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Someone broke into a Logos Court home and stole several televisions, an electric piano and a lot of jewelry. All told, the thief – or thieves – got away with about $3,500 worth of stuff.

Okay, really, hide the GPS. Someone stole a GPS unit and a cell phone from a car parked on Western Boulevard just after midnight.

Someone in an apartment on Gresham Hills Drive reported a peeping tom at 1:30 Saturday morning.

A would-be thief broke the door to the Village Deli on Colleton Road just before 4 a.m. Saturday.

Police arrested four people, two 19 year olds, a 21-year-old woman and a 24-year-old Morrisville man for drunk driving on Globe Road at Kitty Hawk Road just before 1 a.m. Saturday. The 21-year-old woman also got busted for pot possession.

RPD officers arrested a 32-year-old Garner man for pot possession on Navaho Drive just before 3 a.m.

Don’t drink and drive, don’t drive with drugs. Police arrested a 30-year-old woman for drug possession on MLK Boulevard at about 3:30 Saturday morning.

An anonymous woman pointed police to a 20-year-old man with pot in his car on Gresham Lake Road.

Early Saturday morning someone broke a door at the Ship On Site store on Duraleigh Road. The thief stole $150 and did $600 in damage.

Really, is it worth it? RPD officers arrested a 26-year-old man and a 20-year old man, both from Plymouth, for stealing three pairs of sunglasses from a New Bern Avenue Walmart. Value: $21.00.

Someone stole a purse with $25 and three credit and debit cards from a Daniels Street apartment Saturday afternoon.

A Raleigh Police Officer reported losing a “preliminary breath test device” on Capital Boulevard Saturday afternoon.

Police arrested two 17-year-old women for stealing $33 worth of chocolate bars and batteries from a New Bern Avenue Walmart.

Friday, April 3

Restroom art. A man (presumably) wrote “gang graffiti” on a men’s room wall at a K-Mart on Six Forks Road.

Police arrested two men, one 38 and the other 22, for stealing $2,000 in cash and a camera from a 51-year-old woman’s house on Newark Drive. Officers recovered the camera (it had a small amount of blood on it) but did not find the cash.

At about 5 Friday evening, police arrested a 38-year-old man from Wake Forest for possessing drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested two women, one 17 and the other 18, for assaulting a 20-year-old woman on Poole Road around 4 p.m.

RPD officers arrested a 19-year-old man for stealing from his job at the Walmart on Glenwood Avenue. The man took $2,000 in $20 bills.

Someone stole a 20-inch flat-screen TV from a Holiday Inn on Bentley Lane late Friday night.

Those flat screen televisions are almost as popular as Playstations. A thief made off with a 34-inch plasma TV from a house on Bickett Boulevard Friday night.

Police arrested four people, all 17 and 18, from an apartment on Cascades Boulevard for underage alcohol possession.

Robbing from a church? Someone stole two computers and a flat screen TV from a church on Garner Road some time last week.
