Someone damaged two plastic and cardboard signs at a Burger King on Poole Road around 4 Tuesday afternoon.

Police arrested a 17-year-old man for drug possession in a park on Northclift Drive at 4:30 p.m.

A 42-year-old man assaulted a 21-year-old woman on the 1700 block of New Hope Church Road. The two share a home on E. Jones Street around 5 p.m.

Police arrested a 29-year-old Wilson man for stealing two jackets, two pairs of boxers and several other things from a New Bern Avenue Walmart just after 5 p.m.

Over the weekend, someone made off with a front-loading dryer from a home on Covey Court.

Someone rode off with two Schwinn bicycles from a home on Ann Arbor Court around 1:30 in the afternoon.

Overnight, someone broke into a car on College View Avenue and stole a laptop, GPS and $500 worth of textbooks.

Police arrested a 23-year-old woman for trying to steal a necklace and two bracelets from a Hudson Belk on Old Wake Forest Road just after 3 Tuesday afternoon.

Put this in the “Really?” category. Someone stole six “WIC checks for food for children” valued at $500 from the home of a 20-year-old woman on Walnut Street.

Riding away, very slowly. Someone made off with a riding mower, a power washer and a wood chipper from a Tryon Road home overnight.

Police arrested an Apex man for driving while impaired around 2:45 Tuesday morning on Oakwood Avenue.

Overnight, someone stole a tote bag with tax documents, two makeup bags and a change purse with about $3 in change from a car on Quail Ridge Road. Police recovered one of the makeup bags and the tote bag with the tax documents, just in time for the tax deadline.

Police arrested a 44-year-old man for assaulting a 63-year-old woman just before 10 p.m. on Grecian Woods Place.

A 19-year-old woman tried to steal $80 in clothes, $6 worth of groceries and about $3 in makeup from a Target on Old Wake Forest Road.

Drunk on the Beltline. Police arrested a 46-year-old man for driving drunk on I-440 near Brentwood Road just before 11 p.m.

Sometime Monday morning, someone broke a window to a Snookers restaurant on the 3500 block of Wade Avenue and stole two televisions.

Someone stole a 2001 Jaguar from Seawell Avenue during the day.
