The Raleigh Police Department is looking for a man who shot three people this morning at 306 Maple Street. Within hours after the incident, the RPD issued a warrant for Brandon Daniel Sloan, 23, in connection with the shooting.

In an email press release, RPD spokesman Jim Sughrue said, “The three victims of the shooting are: Rashed Amin Green, 27; Fatima Dar-Salaam Elliott, 29; and Bradley Lamont Patterson, 23. Green was shot in the abdomen and the hand. Elliott was shot in the chest. Patterson was shot in the thigh.” All three victims were transported to WakeMed.

Police found Sloan’s car earlier today, but are asking for public assistance finding Sloan, shown in the photo on to the right. Raleigh police ask that anyone who may know of Sloan’s whereabouts call the department’s detective division at (919) 996-3555 or Raleigh CrimeStoppers at (919) 834-HELP.

Bank robbery

Just before 11 this morning a man robbed a BB&T bank on Six Forks Road. The Raleigh Police Department said he showed a gun to a teller and made off with the cash on foot.

Wednesday, July 8

Just after midnight today police arrested a man, 45, for driving while impaired on the 6100 block of Waterside Lane.

Police arrested a 23-year-old man for pot possession on the 5500 block of Newberry Street at about 12:45 a.m.

Someone stole a GPS from a car parked outside a home on the 3000 block of Trassacks Drive at about 1:15 this morning.

Police arrested a man, 30, for assaulting a 57-year-old man with a weapon on the 600 block of West Hargett Street at about 1:30 a.m.

At about 2:15 a.m. someone stole glass tip gars and $1 in change from a restaurant on the 3200 block of Hillsborough Street.

Police arrested a 29-year-old man for pot possession on the 300 block of Haywood Drive at 4:30 this morning.

Tuesday, July 7

Early Tuesday morning someone stole a White Roper refrigerator from a home on the 1100 block of Gregg Street.

Sometime overnight someone stole a 37-inch flat-screen TV from a Marriott Hotel on the 4500 block of Marriott Drive.

Early Tuesday morning someone stole a barbershop pole from a barbershop on the 1300 block of Azalea Drive.

Sometime overnight someone stole a 47-inch TV and a video game console from a home on the 7300 block of Wilderness Road.

Someone assaulted a man, 21, and stole a black flip phone at the intersection of Mitchell Mill Road and Forestville Road at about 5:30 a.m.

At 7 a.m. police arrested a man, 53, for assaulting a 58-year-old man with a knife on the 7000 block of Brecken Ridge Way.

At 8:45 Tuesday Morning police arrested a woman, 25, for pot possession on the 6900 block of Beaverwood Street.

Police arrested a man, 33, for pot possession on the 300 block of North Harrington Street at about 9 Tuesday morning.

At 10:30 a.m. police arrested a 24-year-old woman for trying to steal $1,030.69 from a Dunkin Donuts on the 4400 block of Falls of the Neuse Road.

At about 11:15 a.m. a 28-year-old woman assaulted a 27-year-old man with a knife on the 1500 block of Tivolt Court.

Police arrested a 23-year-old man for pot possession on the 400 block of East Jones Street at about 8:30 p.m.

Someone assaulted a man, 20, outside of a home on the 3300 block of Brentwood Drive at about 11 p.m.

At about 11:15 p.m. a man, 40 assaulted another man of the same age outside a home on the 4600 block of Fisk Court.

Police arrested a 34-year-old woman for driving while impaired on the 100 block of North Blount Street at about 11:30 p.m.
