Raleigh police are asking for help to identify a man who robbed a bank in North Raleigh yesterday. The would-be robber didn’t get any cash, but bank security cameras did get a couple photos of him.

From the Raleigh Police Department:

At approximately 12:45 p.m. today, the suspect entered the Wachovia bank at 7801 Falls of Neuse Rd. and approached a teller. He produced a note announcing a robbery and implied he was armed with a weapon; however, the suspect left the bank prior to completing the robbery. He was last seen fleeing the area on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early twenties with a slender build who stands between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall. He has close-cut hair and was wearing sunglasses, a gray or off-white colored t-shirt and blue jeans.
