Sam Robinson and the Groove Elators are relatively new to the music scene but in no way are they inexperienced. Hailing from the Triad, this band is made up of seasoned veterans who have collaborated with the likes of Tinsley Ellis and Tim Reynolds. They frequently have music greats Artimus Pyle and Kofi Burbridge as part of their performances. Certainly they are rising stars in Blues vein of Southern Funk Rock and Wednesday at the Pourhouse is the perfect time to catch them as they make their Triangle Debut. The Triangle is quickly becoming home to some great Jazz Fusion bands. Durham-based Bull City Syndicate is one of those who leading the charge and giving us some great party Jazz Funk. Catch them Friday at Kings Barcade as they perform a show with Local Ska band Archbishops of Blount Street. This is where the party is at! (Photo Courtesy of Triangle Uncorked)

This band has mastered the fusion of a number of genres from Punk Funk to Indie to Blues and it's all done to keep the audience off balance – and enjoying the night. Speaking of nights, this a night of nights with Grandchildren and Tow3rs sharing the bill. The three bands are extremely talented. This will be a full night of music and it's only $3 thanks to some generous sponsors. (photo courtesy of the village voice)

Sunday night is a big night at Kings Barcade. Woodsman, a Brooklyn band with Rocky Mountain roots, comes to play alongside local favorite bands Lonnie Walker & Old Bricks for a great night of music. Woodsman is a solid band that produces a European influenced indy beat that retains elements of its Rocky Mountain folk and its more contemporary urbanist surroundings. A truly great show is on tap for those of you who venture out this Sunday. (photo courtesy of Brooklyn Vegan)
