The City Council Tuesday approved a plan to add more bike lanes on Hillsborough Street near the Woodburn Road and Park Avenue intersection.
A City Council committee is debating whether to add more bike lanes or on-street parking for a second stretch of Hillsborough Street, this time just east of the N.C. State Campus.
Transit advocates are pushing for a fall referendum asking voters to approve a half-cent sales tax increase.
