Public address announcer Thomas Hill stood in the stands Friday, overlooking a new football field.
“This is monumental!” said Hill, a 1981 St. Augustine’s graduate.
Hill was part of history this weekend, announcing the first football game played on the St. Augustine’s campus in 144 years Saturday. The Record got a sneak peek Friday as the University of San Diego Toreros football team practiced on the new turf. The Toreros played Campbell University on Saturday.
