The deadline to register to vote or update voter registration information for the May 8 Primary Election is Friday.
Voter registration applications and updates are due by 5 p.m. that day at the Board of Elections Office, 337 S. Salisbury St. Mailed applications must be postmarked April 13.
According to the Wake County Board of Elections office, 17-year-olds who will be 18 years of age by the Nov. 6 General Election are eligible to register and vote in the May Primary, but they will not be eligible to vote on the Constitutional Amendment.
