Sadlack’s Heroes has been a fixture on Hillsborough Street since 1972. The small building sits at the corner with Enterprise Street, just across from the N.C. State University Bell Tower. Sadlack’s, and all the other businesses on that block, will be moving out on Dec. 31 to make way for a new hotel.

A few members of the Record staff went down to Sadlack’s earlier this month to collect some of the stories that have accrued there during the years. Below are just a few of the stories we recorded.
