Raleigh City Councilors are relocating their annual retreat to the Raleigh Convention Center.
The change was announced Wednesday afternoon after a winter storm dumped snow and ice on most of the state. In a statement released by the city, NC Department of Transportation staff advised Raleigh officials against coming to the area.
Councilors will be working with City Manager Ruffin Hall on establishing productive relationships and strategic long term planning for the city.
The two-day retreat will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday.
