Meeting of the Southeast CAC was held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the Barwell Road Community Center. Meeting was called to order by Chair Tim Sit. Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources report was given by Matt Johnston. Raleigh Police Department report was given by Officer R. A. Lee who reported that residential larcenies were down; however vehicle larcenies are still on the rise, including two motor vehicle thefts. He continued to caution everyone to lock vehicles and remove items from view in cars that may be taken.
The monthly meeting of the Southeast CAC was held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 7:00pm at the Barwell Road Community Center. Chair Tim Sit opened meeting with greetings to everyone. Parks and Rec Report was given by Worthdale Center Director Carletta Moore who first emphasized the importance of taking part in completing the Barwell surveys that have been distributed. Other items reported by Mrs. Moore included: (2) Worthdale Community Center renovations are nearing completion and should be done by end of April. Formal announcement has not been made to public at this time; (3) programs are consistent and going well; Pinto League has five teams; (4) CAC meetings will resume at Worthdale in June.

Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources report was given by Assistant Director Matt Johnston. He reported that Worthdale Center is now open to the public. Summer Camp program will commence on June 15 for ages 6-11.
The Northeast CAC held their monthly meeting June 11, where they discussed topics ranging from community events to new development in their neighborhoods.

A meeting of the Northeast Citizens Advisory Council (NECAC) was held on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at the Marsh Creek Community Center, 3050 New Hope Road, Raleigh. First Vice Chair Lillian Thompson presided. The meeting was called to order at 7:09 pm. Parks and Recreation Report: Heather O’Brien reported on various activities currently underway and upcoming. The January – March LeisureLedger is available.

Department Reports
Parks and Recreation Report: Jud Dunleavy, Marsh Creek Parks and Recreation Community Center Assistant Director, highlighted: Marsh Creek Community Day, 26 March, with skate board demo; Getting additional lights in parking lot; Registration for summer camps with youth programs. Also, Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services has a series of open houses to receive input on its system plan drafts; March 24th is the closest one, at Green Road Community Center, from 6.30pm. Police Report: Officer George Porter, Crime Prevention Officer, Lieutenant DD Knuckles, and Barbara Schmidt, greenways volunteer, all were in attendance. Greenways: Greenway is 117 miles; reports from the greenways include two cases of indecent exposure, spray painting, someone carrying a weapon. Greenway Volunteers only report back; the core has been husband-and-wife teams.
