Four projects delayed by Planning Commission, new developments along Capital Boulevard, and some say the Unified Development Ordinance isn’t being implemented the way the city promised.
In this week’s development beat, more construction, and controversy, from Hillsborough Street, along with changes at Crabtree Valley Mall and the Cardinal Club.
Planning Commission members this week approved a controversial seven-story apartment building for Hillsborough Street and a new middle school for North Raleigh. Rex hospital and Wake Tech’s north campus are expanding, and a Taco Bell is getting some repairs.
This week on the Development Beat: More beds at Holly Hill; pastries will compete with health food for downtown snacking; and no big blow-up dancing guys for a used car lot on Glenwood Avenue.
