Raleigh’s Union Station Project Costs Could Increase

As the city continues to work on the design for the new Union Station in the downtown Warehouse District, money coming in from state and federal sources will make the project a reality. But it’s not completely funded yet. City officials say they hope to stick to the $73 million budget for the station.

Council Roundup: Glenwood Pedestrian Bridge Approved

Councilors approved a rezoning for a mixed-use development near Crabtree Valley mall that will include a pedestrian bridge across Glenwood Avenue. In other Council business, the city received a $27 million loan for the Neuse River Waste Water Treatment Plant, and plans to apply for another federal grant for the new downtown train station.
