Raleigh residents Laura Jackson and Jim Biddell made good use of a sunny Sunday afternoon by kayaking on Crabtree Creekby in their tandem kayak, named “Mojo!”
Crabtree Creek is a CSS — a combined sewer overflow tributary — which means sometimes there is an aroma, they still find this section of the creek a good scenic look at Raleigh. They anticipated a good run due to the recent rain.
They used the Lassiter Mill Historical Park as their starting point and headed off upstream toward Crabtree Mall; their return route was downstream back to the park near North Hills.
