At about noon today a man walked into the SunTrust Bank at 5135 N. New Hope Rd. and handed a teller a robbery note. The teller gave the man what he asked for and the robber, pictured right, made off with the money.

From the Raleigh Police Department:

“The male suspect in the surveillance photos is described as standing 5 feet 7-8 inches tall, weighing more than 200 pounds and in his thirties or forties. He has tattoos on the upper portions of both of his arms and was wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers’ jersey. He appears to be balding and had either a closely cropped beard and moustache or a few days of facial-hair growth.

“Anyone who can identify the suspect or provide information about the case is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department’s Detective Division at (919) 996-3555 or Raleigh CrimeStoppers at (919) 834-HELP. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that help solve cases.”

Early this morning, someone broke into Angelo’s Restaurant at 200 E Martin St. and stole an unknown amount of money. Police recovered two bloody five dollar bills.

At 2:45 this morning, someone stole a soda and chips from a store at 3029 Western Blvd.

Sometime over the weekend, someone stole a laptop and a water bottle filled with $250 in coins from an apartment on the 9300 block of Bothwell Street.

Someone stole a Ford Ranger from 1327 Capital Blvd. over the weekend.

Someone stole freon from air conditioning units at the First Korean Baptist Church on Ray Road sometime over the weekend.

A woman reported that someone stole two televisions and a keyboard from her house on the 5600 block of Sheriff Place West sometime in the past week.

Earlt Tuesday morning, someone stole 22” rims from a car parked at 6211 St. Regis Cir.

A 39 year-old woman reported being assaulted by someone near the 3100 block of New Bern Avenue at 10 a.m.

A 54-year-old Winston-Salem man was arrested for indecent exposure in Moore Square Park.

Someone reported an indecent exposure near 233 S Wilmington St. at 1 p.m.

Early in the afternoon, someone stole a DVD-player, a Playstation and jewelry from a house on the 2500 block of Fitzgerald Drive.

Someone stole a Lincoln Continental from the 1800 block of Eagle Beach Court at around 5:30 p.m.

At around 6:30 p.m. someone mugged a 17-year-old man walking near 4235 Neuse Crossing Dr. stealing $120.

A 49-year-old woman was arrested by police for stealing shampoo, hair polish and hair sheen from the Kroger at 6300 Creedmoor Rd. at 7:32 p.m.

Just before 8 p.m. two 18-year-old boys were arrested for attempting to steal from a Wal-Mart on Glenwood Avenue.

Just after 8 p.m. a 59-year-old man was arrested by police for stealing cortizone cream from a different Wal-Mart on Glenwood Ave.

Someone stole a WII, a laptop, three guns and a television from a house on the 7200 block of Sawbuck Court between 8:30 and 9:45 p.m.

Between 7:40 and 9:25 p.m. a 40-year-old woman assaulted a man, 38, at their home near 3300 Hewberry Lane.

Police arrested a man, 25, for allegedly using a firearm to assault another 25-year-old man on the 4300 block of Standing Rock Way at 9 p.m.

A man, 26, assaulted a 21-year-old woman in a parking lot at 1908 Poole Rd. at around 9:45 p.m.

At around 10 p.m. a 26-year-old man assaulted a 44-year-old woman at their home near 4800 Edgerton Court.

At 10:30 p.m. someone stole a Dodge Durango from the 1500 block of Pleasant Garden Lane.

A 40-year-old man was charged with “defrauding an inkeeper” at the Big Easy bar on Fayetteville Street at 11 p.m.

Someone stole $50 from an apartment on the 1100 block of Garner Road at 11:15 p.m.

Police arrested a Greensboro man for driving drunk on Glenwood South at 11:41 p.m.
