Sometime overnight someone stole two cordless drills, a Skil saw and a chain saw from a home on the 5700 block of Rail Fence Road.
Sometime overnight someone stole two boys’ mountain bikes from a school on the 400 block of Dorothea Drive.
Police arrested a man, 45, for trying to steal $18 worth of food from a Harris Teeter on the 500 block of Oberlin Road at about noon.
Someone stole a black Sprint cell phone from a home on the 2300 block of Derby Drive at about 3 p.m.
Police arrested 22-year-old woman for trying to steal a necklace and earrings from a Macy’s on the 3800 block of Sumner Boulevard at about 3:30 p.m.
Police arrested a man, 37, for trying to steal two three packs of white shirts from a Wal-Mart on the 4400 block of New Bern Avenue at about 3:30 p.m.
At 7 p.m. a 20-year-old woman assaulted a 27-year-old man outside a home on the 1300 block of Wrentree Circle.
At about 8 p.m. a 50-year-old man assaulted a man of the same age on the 7000 block of Longstreet Drive.
Sometime Monday night someone stole a car DVD player and a black iPod from a car parked on the 8800 block of Harvest Oaks Drive.
Police arrested a man, 26, for pot possession on the 3400 block of Wake Forrest Road at about 10:30 p.m.
Someone assaulted a man, 26, outside of an apartment building on the 700 block of Quarry Street at about 10:45 p.m.
Just before 11:30 p.m. a man, 27, assaulted a 28-year-old woman on the 1200 block of Ridgewood Drive.
Sometime between 11:00 p.m. and midnight a 25-year-old man assaulted a 21-year-old woman at their shared home on Ileagnes Road.

Overnight, someone stole a printer and keyboard from a house on the 600 block of East Martin Street.
Someone stole a GPS from a car parked on Meredith Anne Court overnight.
Someone stole a Coach wallet with $12 from a car parked on Montego Court overnight.
Between 1 and 2:30 p.m. someone stole a GPS and a cell phone from a car parked in a lot on Triangle Town Boulevard. At the same time and address someone broke into a second car and stole another GPS.
At about 1:30 p.m. someone assaulted a 28-year-old woman at a home on Owens Lane.
Sometime during the day, someone broke into a truck parked on Triangle Plantation Drive and stole a laptop.
At 3:00 p.m. someone broke into a doctor’s office at 221 W. Millbrook Rd. and stole two flat-screen monitors, one green oxygen tank, and an audio/visual control console. Police recovered everything but one of the monitors.
At 3:30 p.m. a 47-year-old man assaulted a woman, 46, at their shared Orchard Hollow Lane home.
A man reported shots fired near the 3000 block of Osterley Street at about 6:15 p.m.
Sometime during the day, someone stole a DVD-player, three necklaces, and six pairs of shoes from an apartment on Sherman Avenue.
A man, 28, assaulted a 21-year-old man on the 4500 block of Tournament Drive at about 8 p.m.
A 55-year-old woman assaulted another woman,32 at 11:00 a.m. in the older woman’s apartment on Avent Ferry Road.
