A facade is all that remains of the building at 301 S. Wilmington St. in downtown Raleigh. Owner Greg Sandreuter decided to demolish it after the building was found to be structurally unsafe.

The entire block, bordered by Wilmington, Martin, Davie and Blount streets, is part of Sandreuter’s future developments. Skyhouse apartments, a 264-foot tower to be constructed at the southwest corner of Blount and Martin Streets.
