Music, fashion shows, free samples and more drew crowds to North Hills this Saturday and Sunday to mark the opening of a new park and performance space.
The latest addition to the North Raleigh development is Midtown Park, an expansive patch of green amid the concrete office and residential towers east of Six Forks Road.
A one-acre lawn leads from the porch at Chuy’s restaurant to an amphitheater surrounded by water. Beyond the stage, construction is underway on Cardinal at North Hills, a senior living complex.
Adding to North Hills’ calendar of free music events, the park will play host to monthly bluegrass concerts starting in May. For the schedule, visit http://www.northhillsraleigh.com/event/midtown-bluegrass-series-darin-and-brooke-aldridge/.
