Election Day is about one week away, and signs are cropping up.
The first weekend of the N.C. State Fair brought out the crowds, with hundreds of thousands of people turning out to enjoy the favorite sights, smells, sounds and of course, tastes.
The Oakwood neighborhood was threatened by a highway that would have divided the neighborhood, but residents defeated the proposal in 1972.
