Get to the State Fair Without a Car

The usual GoRaleigh State Fair Park and Ride Shuttles are back in action for the State Fair, which opens this week. According to GoRaleigh:

“Enjoy the State Fair without trying to find parking or battle traffic and get dropped off right at Gate 1! GoRaleigh provides daily service to the State Fair Oct. 11 through Oct. 21. The shuttles operate from three locations. All passengers are dropped off at Gate 1 of the State Fairgrounds.”

Passengers can board at any of these stations between Charlotte and the fairgrounds: Kannapolis, Salisbury, High Point, Greensboro, Burlington and Durham

Getting to and from the Fair:

  • Take Carolinian train 80 departing Charlotte at 6:45 a.m. and arriving at the fairgrounds at 9:53 a.m.
  • Board Piedmont train 77 departing the fairgrounds at 3:04 p.m. and arriving in Charlotte at 6:10 p.m.
