NCDOT to Showcase Nearly 2 Dozen Raleigh Transportation Projects

There’s always something going on with transit and transportation, and the NCDOT is working on a lot. Per a press release from them, you can check out a whole bunch of Raleigh-related items at an event Monday, May 6:

RALEIGH – The public will have a chance next week to talk directly to NCDOT representatives about nearly two dozen projects either under development or construction in the Raleigh area.

The N.C. Department of Transportation’s open-house transportation fair is scheduled for 4-7 p.m. Monday, May 6, at the McKimmon Center, 1101 Gorman St.

Community members can drop in at any time to get information, ask questions or submit comments. They will also be able to submit feedback online, even if they cannot attend.

NCDOT will also provide details about NC Moves, the ongoing effort to update the state’s long-range transportation plan, as well as information about some of the methods incorporated in construction projects that enhance traffic safety and mobility.

Representatives from the city of Raleigh, GoRaleigh and the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization also plan to be on hand to offer information about Raleigh projects, the Wake Transit Plan and other transportation initiatives.
