Contractor to Start Putting Up Girders for New Peace Street Bridge in Raleigh

The contractor plans to begin installing girders for the new bridge that will carry Capital Boulevard traffic over Peace Street. It is tentatively scheduled to take three nights to set the girders.

Traffic Pattern Changes Coming for Peace Street Bridge Work

Dortch Street will close starting Jan. 14. The 21-day closure will require an offsite detour using Capital Boulevard, North West Street and the southbound Capital Boulevard ramp off Wade Avenue, depending on which direction of Dortch Street a driver is going.

Triangle Expressway Toll Rate Increase Begins Jan. 1

A slight increase in the toll rate for the Triangle Expressway will take effect Monday, Jan. 1, as required by the bond covenant created for the funding of the highway.
