I live in Glenwood South and was presented with a great question. Where are good places to walk our canine friends? Please blog your suggestions for all downtown residents to share.

Plenty of great places to walk…and some great places now to sit outside w/your pal and have a drink and dinner….To walk….both Nash and Moore Square parks are usually quiet enough that I can throw the ball to Irene off leash….which is nice to wear her out. In Oakwood, there is the Oakwood dog park (best times are after 4 pm when the heat is down)…walking in Boylan Heights is pleasant (always plenty of cats to sniff out), and Fayetville street, with extra wide sidewalks, is great as well. Boylan St Bridge Brewpub, 101 Lounge, and Humble Pie are all great places that Irene and I frequent regularly and are super dog friendly. Downtown is a great place for the dog because of all the stimulation they get…it’s just more important then ever to use the leash and bring some plastic bags…
